On October 25, 2024, Vinnytsia once again became the center of attention for art enthusiasts with the opening of the 76th Regional Exhibition of Fine and Decorative Arts, which celebrated the best works of the year. This event brought together over 90 artists from various parts of the region, showcasing more than 800 pieces and demonstrating the strength of traditional Ukrainian culture and the boundless talent of local artists.
The exhibition impressed with its variety of genres: from vibrant paintings and graphic works to exquisite decorative painting, masterful wood carving, unique ceramic pieces, and intricate paper-cutting art. Visitors were able to admire tapestries, embroidered towels, appliqués, and motankas – each exhibit reflecting the multifaceted nature and depth of Ukrainian art.
Particularly captivating were painted carpets inspired by ancient examples, textile triptychs, and sculptural works, including the standout white marble sculpture "Angel" by Vasyl Slobodyanyuk. The presence of young, talented craftsmen, such as the students of the art department of Vinnytsia Children’s Music School No. 2, added a special touch to the exhibition, as they showcased their creations using papier-mâché techniques inspired by Maria Prymachenko.
The exhibition was a platform for recognizing talented artists. Among them was impressionist painter Oksana Matsyk from Mohyliv-Podilskyi, who deservedly received a certificate and appreciation for her artistic achievements. Her works reflected a delicate sense of color and emotion characteristic of impressionism and exemplified a high level of artistic skill.
The 76th regional exhibition was not only a display of beauty and talent but also a source of inspiration, upholding faith in the strength of the Ukrainian spirit and the resilience of its cultural heritage.
